Reporting to the General Manager - Fatigue Safety, the Fatigue Safety Trainer will act as a role model, providing training, support and coaching to the Fatigue Trainers on an ongoing basis, ensuring that Company and regulatory procedures are complied with and that our crew receive the best possible education and safety promotion to support their understanding of Fatigue and personal responsibility to manage rest, protecting crew welfare when working a flying roster.
You will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the Fatigue Training modules, to be used for initial and recurrent training to cabin and flight crew. Be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the Fatigue Training package that will be delivered to all colleagues, supervisors and Managers involved in Fatigue Management and welfare. Including but not limited to Crew Planning, Crewing, Fatigue Safety Team, Cabin Crew and Flight Operations Management. You will identify and analyse individual training and development needs for Fatigue trainers, making recommendations in line with Performance Improvement Plans, ensuring any objectives are SMART and aligned to business needs.
In addition, you will deliver safety communications that support education and focus on "personal responsibilities, rest management and fatigue processes" across the bases and evaluate Fatigue training delivery, and support any coaching, in order to measure success and embed knowledge, skills and behaviours, ensuring that such training/coaching fulfils the fatigue safety and business requirements.
You will continuously look at ways in which to improve the delivery and efficiency of fatigue training to all, developing ideas, making recommendations and obtaining buy in from all key stakeholders, and positively influence the safety, and culture amongst flight and cabin crew by engaging with individuals and management to ensure all have an understanding of how rest should be managed, as well as keeping updated on the Fatigue Safety Manual and any related regulatory changes and procedures, ensuring personal training and development needs are identified and discussed with General Manager - Fatigue Safety.
