Job Description

My client a well established SME business based on the Leeds side of Harrogate are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant on a six month fixed term contract basis. There is a strong possibility this role will go permanent.

Duties involved in the role;

* Chasing overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales
* Managing supplier invoices on a daily basis, ensuring reconciliation with purchase orders and delivery notes
* Distributing supplier invoices for internal authorisation
* Identifying costings and process supplier and sales invoices via our Pegasus accounting system
* Monitor and review outstanding invoices with prompt resolution of any queries
* Ensure our CRM system is continually updated
* Answer supplier and customer phone queries and provide resolutions
* Reconciliation of supplier statements
* Process BACS payments through internet banking
* Reconciliation of purchase ledger to general ledger on a monthly basis
* Assist in the preparation of bank reconciliations
* Processing and administration of internal expense claims

Key skills required for the role include:

* Previous experience of working within a finance department
* AAT qualified, or qualified by experience
* Analytical, with a keen eye for detail
* Customer focused with excellent communication skills
* Organised and methodical, with ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload
* Computer Literate, with experience of MS Office
* Intermediate level Excel would be advantageous, together with previous experience of accounting software
* Enthusiastic and keen to learn

Remuneration package;

* Salary package; £22,000-£25,000
* 6 months with a possibility of a permenent role
* 25 day holiday plus bank holidays
* Free on site parking
* Hours 8.30am-5pm, Mon- Fri
