Becoming a Pensions Technician with Employee Benefits:

We are currently seeking a Pension Technician to be based out of our office in Leeds. To support on key projects across all work streams in the department , ensuring they are completed in line with procedural and client requirements and within service level agreements.

What you will do:

  • Work with the Senior Pensions Technician and Pensions Team Manager to deliver requirements for Scheme Events and Projects within KPIs (time scales, deliverables, quality,sign off) and to input into the planning process.
  • Take ownership of the accuracy and quality of their own work.
  • Understand, build, maintain and enhance customer relationships.
  • Regularly review, and feedback on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes.
  • Support and assist the management team where required in all aspects of service delivery and business support for example, ad hoc projects, auditing, etc.

Your experience will include:

  • Pensions experience is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Can identify and explain the difference between Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes and the impact that this may have on the data.
  • A flair for numbers and the ability to manually calculate pensions benefits
  • Can identify errors and suggest options to correct them
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook at the required level (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas and mail merge for MS word)
  • Grade C and above in Maths and English GCSE
