17.5 hours 2200 - 0800 (2 nights on / 6 nights off, on an 8 day rota).
Location: AHSCP Community Nursing Out of Hours Office, Operational Centre,
Emergency Care Centre, Foresterhill Site Aberdeen. (These hours and rota may be subject to
change in line with service development)
An opportunity has
arisen for experienced Band 6 District Nurses to join our Out of Hours All Night Community Nursing team within the
integrated Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership, prioritising
person centred overnight end of life care and symptom control for patients in
their own homes, enabling them to remain in their preferred place at the
end stage of their disease. The Service also delivers unscheduled clinical
nursing interventions to patients referred from G-Meds, NHS24 and other
professionals, supporting avoidance of hospital admission where possible and

coordinate a team of staff to ensure safe Service delivery in the Out of
Hours overnight period
Candidates must possess a Specialist
Practice District Nursing qualification and should evidence recent
clinical, team management and workload planning experience at
Band 6. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential as well as
experience in palliative and end of life care. ?
