Job Description

The Role:

The HR Advisor is required to support the implementation of Human Resource strategies that support the Group Business Strategy as well as the organisations' strategic vision and business priorities. They are also needed to support the building of customer-focused culture through relevant HR interventions.

The role aims to provide high quality, accurate employment advice and guidance, including employment law on disciplinary, grievance, ill health capability and other employment-related cases appropriate.

You will coach line managers in day to day work and help to build their capability to identify issues/risks to take responsibility for their own employment/people issues.

You will support the implementation of organisational changes, strategic initiatives and Group processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the consistent application of all HR processes across the business units, in line with company policy and process.
  • Provide support in consultation and restructuring exercises.
  • Ensuring accurate information regarding redundancy calculations is produced.
  • Attend grievance and disciplinary meetings as required.
  • Filing, storage and retrieval of all records in relation to personnel information and documentation.
  • To ensure all HR documentation is maintained i.e. version control.
  • Accurately create and distribute letters on various HR-related issues.
  • Provide relevant HR admin support.
  • Ensure continuous improvement occurs in relation to HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with latest employee legislation.
  • Conduct required people audits in line with performance management framework.
  • Support the delivery of effective employee entry and exit programmes.
  • Work in partnership with HR Managers, Recruitment and Learning & Development teams to deliver a first class HR proposition.
  • Provide accurate monthly people MI.
  • Promote a culture where everyone takes ownership for the customer experience and is passionate about working for Daisy Group.
  • Keep abreast of HR industry trends/best practices and share knowledge across team.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Look for continuous improvement in all ways of working.
  • Attend relevant meetings.
  • Be vigilant for possible fraudulent activity and if necessary raise a security incident report using the template accessible via the corporate Intranet.
  • Periodically review Daisy Security Policies - centrally hosted on the Intranet - to ensure full compliance with current legal, regulatory and company requirements.
  • Carry out any 'adhoc' assignments as and when required.
  • To be compliant with health and safety company policy and legislation.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Working towards CIPD/CPP (or equivalent) or possess this qualification
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and numerical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good follow-up skills and a positive attitude
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise workloads
  • High energy level with creative problem solving abilities
  • Must be able to work on own initiative
  • Must be a strong team player
