Service User statement

“I am 28 years old and I live with my Mam. I have got a sister and a younger brother, but they don't live with me they live separately in their own house. I enjoy listening to music, I like to just chill as well. I enjoy going to the Gym plus my support workers help me to go out and about in the community and do things that I enjoy. I like to go to the Working Men’s Club, where I DJ and help out on the Tuck Shop. Once a week I do some volunteering. I feel I have a good sense of humour and I would like a support worker to share my humour and my interests in Wagons, Cars and Motorbikes. My ideal support worker would be down to earth, not too serious, but also to take control and be in charge.”

Training

From your first day you will be paid to go through our accredited training course which includes the care certificate alongside bespoke elements designed to help you provide a world class service.

Each of the individuals we work with have their own training programme which they have often helped to design. After you have completed this you will receive on the job training from an experienced support worker until you feel comfortable to go solo.
