My client is one of the UK's leading providers of legal and handling services to the general insurance sector and they are looking for a highly organised and friendly Marketing Communications Manager. The firm currently provides legal services to 12 of the UK's 20 largest motor insurers in specialist areas such as counter fraud, large & complex injury, motor and casualty services, recoveries, costs and credit hire. As a result of continued organic growth, the firm is recognised as one of the UK's fastest growing law firms with six offices, 34 partners and 720 employees, receiving in excess of 65,000 instructions per annum.
Purpose of the Job
To implement and manage the marketing communications plan necessary to successfully support the firm's business strategy.
In addition to providing support as required to the Business Development Director, (BDD), key areas of responsibility will include: Working closely with partners and business area heads to develop, produce and maintain a relevant suite of both generic and client specific marcomms collateral, including brochureware, newsletters, client alerts and briefings, and other 'thought leadership' material. The content management and development of the firm's website The development, implementation and management of appropriate social media streams Acting as the day-to-day point of contact for all PR/media-relations activities, maximising the value from the firm's appointed PR consultants Implementing and managing specific marketing communications campaigns as required Providing regular activity and monitoring reports to the BDD and senior management.
Experience, skills and qualifications
A proven track record in the marketing communications area Demonstrable copywriting skills and the ability to quickly analyse complex information and present it in an easy to understand, readable format Exceptional personal communications and influencing skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Experience of managing websites and a good awareness of current and emerging social media channels Proficiency in standard desktop publishing and graphics software Planning and project management skills A creative self-starter who is prepared to roll up their sleeves as necessary
Experience of developing and managing a social media presence Graduate with relevant CIM qualifications People/team management experience A career history that includes working within professional services and/or insurance related organisations and/or suppliers to the general insurance industry
