Support Workers Haltwhistle

KEYFORT are currently looking for caring, motivated individuals to support adults who have disabilities, live at home and require support up to 24 hours a day to live a full and independent life.

  • £7.75 per hour after training.
  • Double Pay for bank holiday working.
  • Paid Care Certificate Training and DBS check.
  • 12 hour day shifts, 12 hour waking night shifts and 24 hour with sleeping night shifts available.
  • Full time and Part time contracts available.
  • Permanent Rolling Rota, working with the same Service User(s) week to week.
  • On-going support, training and development opportunities.

Our team of Support Workers perform a vital role in ensuring that our service users are supported safely ,* in an *effective and caring way that is responsive to their own individual needs.

You will be providing flexible support services to service users in their own home(s) with a range of physical and/or psychological needs, for example, neurological conditions, brain injury, spinal injury, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs.

We are looking for Support Workers who have a caring and person centred approach and great communication skills. You must also have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, be reliable and honest, with a respect for privacy and confidentiality.

At KEYFORT we believe in providing person centred care and support, all of our support packages are designed for the individual – so no two are alike.

Duties could include:

  • Personal care
  • Medication support
  • Daily Living
  • Moving & Handling
  • Managing Finances
  • Nursing Care
  • Rehabilitation therapy


From your first day you will be paid to go through our accredited training course which includes the care certificate alongside bespoke elements designed to help you provide a world class service.

Each of the individuals we work with have their own training programme which they have often helped to design. After you have completed this you will receive on the job training from an experienced support worker until you feel comfortable to go solo.


Experience in any of the following areas would be an advantage but not essential:

Physical disabilities. Neurological conditions. Brain injuries. Communication difficulties. Medication handling. Psychological skills e.g. anxiety reduction.

Interviews will be a/c 29th January for training commencing the 13th February and training take place at our Gateshead Team Valley office.
