I am currently recruiting experienced team managers to manage the following teams within the North West -Duty Team Manager dealing with assessments of Children in need and child protection -Locality team manager, dealing with cases at CIN, CP and LAC -Team Manager for Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)/missing Children
As a team manager you will carry out the following duties: -Line manage front line staff and other agency staff and other professionals as designated, being responsible for the operation and application of all HR recruitment and employment requirements and supervision and appraisal for allocated staff. -Ensure a high standard of professional practice is maintained across the service through personal example, coaching, mentoring and consultation. Provide learning opportunities to promote the professional development of staff within the service. -Provide supervision and oversight of the team's student practice placements including acting as practice educator. -Ensure that all tasks associated with newly qualified social workers are undertaken in accordance with the AYSE's requirements. -Ensure the provision and continuing development of high quality assessments, care planning care proceedings and reviews for individuals and ensure that high quality care plans with identified outcomes are drawn up involving children young people and their families/ carers. -Pursue continuous improvement in the efficient use of resources and ensure appropriate performance management systems are in place, such as auditing, to promote the quality of work at individual and service level, including the effective management of complaints. -Work in partnership with children, young people parents, carers, other agencies and professionals, through effective communication and consultation networks, to ensure a co-ordinated, seamless response to and to contribute to the monitoring of the overall quality of care provided.
As a Qualified Social Work team manager you will meet the following requirements: -Qualified social worker (Dip SW or equivalent) and have relevant post qualification experience working within a statutory setting -You must be fully registered with the HCPC -Able to provide full performance referencing -Have a 1-4 week notice period -Have a minimum of 2 years experience managing a team in a similar setting
