Vacancy: Contracts Manager (Facilities)

Location: Preston

Job Description:

  • A new role has been created for a Contracts Manager to work as part of our clients Facilitites Management portfolio
  • Reporting to the Life Cycle Manager, you will have overall responsibility for managing a number of projects simultaneously and ensuring the the successful delivery
  • Manage future workload
  • Programme delivery in terms of progress and performance
  • Conduct subcontractor inductions, meetings and minute accordingly
  • Issue relevant contractual paperwork and certifications as required
  • Compile and provide pre contract health and safety information
  • Manage the construction phase Health and Safety Plan
  • Report progress and look forward plan
  • Regular monitoring of the quality standards
  • Leading H&S assurance in particular compliance with CDM 2015 and update of O&Ms
  • Work with the Life Cycle Manager to implement the asset renewal strategy

Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience of working in a similar role within FM to include asset renewal, fabric replacement and small projects and managing many projects simultaneously
  • Experience in dealing with end to end projects which will include working with client's, supply chain and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of JCT forms of contract and contract administration duties
  • Understand and action commercial, procurement and final accounting responsibilities
  • Minimum of a HNC in Construction or Quantity Surveying
  • Working towards or hold a relevant professional qualification
  • Hold a current CSCS card (Management or Professional)
  • Outstanding technical knowledge of construction including M&E
