Royal Voluntary Service are a charity with 25,000 volunteers who help older people to stay active and offer companionship for those suffering from loneliness. Volunteers run a variety of social clubs and events across the UK to help get people out, socialising and making new friends as well as learning new skills and participating in activities. These events include things like lunch groups, art and craft classes, exercise classes and dance groups to name but a few. They also work closely with the NHS, to help people settle back in at home after hospital stays. This provides essential emotional and physical support to lonely and vulnerable older people living in our local communities who may not have any family or friends nearby. This is where YOU come in... What will the role involve? RVS wouldn't be able to provide these local services without the generous financial support from members of the public. As a Royal Voluntary Service Fundraiser your job would be to inspire members of the public to become long-term sponsors of the charity through a regular donation. You will get to work in various locations and venues in and around Manchester and the North West. You will have a fully branded stand and unifirm for extra visability and presence in the venue. We are looking for passionate, inspirational motivated individuals to promote RVS , recruit new supporters, raise the charities profile and leave positive lasting impressions with every conversation. Benefits of working as a RVS Fundraiser; £9.50 - £11 per hour, depending on experience - paid weekly This is a target based role but you are still paid for every hour you work - it is not commission based. Pay review after 1 month and ongoing coaching and development. Working hours between: Monday - Saturday between 9 - 6. Minimum of 3 days up to a maximum of 6 days per week. In order to be able to reach more patients in dire need of their care, Marie Curie urgently require more funding. You will get to work in various venues in locations in Glasgow and surrounding areas with a fully branded stand and uniform for extra brand visibility. The role We are looking for passionate, inspirational, enthusiastic and motivated people to promote Marie Curie, recruit new supporters, raise the charity's profile and leave a positive lasting impression. The aim is to chat to members of the public and inspire new donors to sign up to a monthly Direct Debit. You will work in venues such as hospitals, gyms, supermarkets, shopping centres and train stations to name a few. Full training will be provided with ongoing coaching and mentoring and pay reviews. The hours: We can offer part time or full time hours during Monday to Sunday. Shifts available between 8am and 8pm. Minimum of 3 day per week, shifts between 4-8 hours per day. You also get an average of an hours travel paid in addition daily, which is paid at your hourly rate. The benefits: The role offers a starting rate of pay of £9p/h, with the potential to increase this to £10.50 p/h. This is a target based role but you will be paid for every hour that your work - this is not a commission based role. It has a guaranteed hourly rate. You are also paid for travel time at your hourly rate as well as a milage allowance of 25p per mile. Out of pocket expenses like parking, congestion charges and toll bridges all covered. Job role: Private Sites Fundraising Team Leader - with further management opportunities down the line. Location: In pre-booked venues across the North West. Accountable to: Individual Giving Manager The offer: Pay a basic salary of £25.5K - £27,716K depending on experience. Performance related pay increase up to £31K per year. Main responsibilities: To lead a private sites fundraising team ensuring the in-house activity maximises net income for Royal Voluntary Service. You will supervise a team of 4 Fundraisers to work to KPI's to raise money for their vital services through regular monthly donations. The team will be new and will require your knowledge of private sites fundraising or front line sales to be able to grow the team. You will have daily support to do your role from a line manager and from senior fundraiser. You will manage the rota for the team and send the timesheets to the payroll team. You will lead from the front and fundraise with your team daily. We're looking for the following: Experience of team leading (Essential) within a private sites environment (Desirable) Understanding and appreciation of the fundraising environment and the value of regular giving and long term donors Experience of training and motivating a team of fundraisers Ability to use onsite Data capture applications (Essential) MS Office packages, Word, Excel and Powerpoint (Desirable) A basic understanding of RVS and what it does as a charitable organisation Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to inspire their team and potential donors. Experience of working to targets and/or managing a campaign with targets, with a 'can-do' attitude and a desire to succeed. The ability to work with minimum supervision, your line manager will be home-based so you and another will be given full autonomy to develop your own fundraising team. You must have passion, resilience and the desire to build a successful in-house fundraising section. You would be expected to still hit your own daily fundraising targets, setting a great example with your results and ethical approach. Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays, with the flexibility to travel on a daily basis, including occasional overnight stays away from home. A driving license is essential.
