Prospectus are delighted to be working exclusively with Haven House Children's Hospice to help them recruit for a Senior Fundraiser to work with high net worth individuals. This role will help mould the organisations overall fundraising strategy, build relationships with celebrities and other VIP's, steward four, five and six figure donations and be part of an successful and active team that has grown their income by nearly 50% in the last five years. Haven House Children's Hospice looks after children and young people aged from birth to 19 years old who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. The facility is set in a large estate with bright gardens on the borders of Essex and North East London, near Woodford Tube Station on the Central Line, and has been recently renovated giving it a modern, open and positive feel. The income generation team from October will be stationed is a new purpose built office that is separate to the hospice building itself but set in the estate grounds. The fundraising team that you will be part of generated nearly £3.3 million in income last year from a range of sources that including £805,000 from Statutory sources, £640,000 from their shop, £243,000 from Legacies and £1.66 million from Individual donations which includes £250,000 from Major Gifts. The income from large individual donations has stayed static for a few years now and they are looking for someone who can help develop the relationships they have already and explore new ones using the variety of events they run that includes an annual gala dinner, leveraging the VIP supporters and patrons and using your own initiative. The Senior Fundraiser position will report to Natalie Chevin the Head of Corporate and Major Gifts and be part of a wider team of 22 in fundraising. The team has a great sense of community and they pull together meaning that you will be expected to pitch in with other teams, the general office work and in wider events. You will be working in a positive and bright atmosphere with people who are creative and driven to affect change in the lives of the people that need help. The ideal person for the position will have a track record in major giving and have previously delivered five/six figure gifts from high net worth individuals and/or trusts. They are keen to find a relationship builder who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved to deliver on the potential that Haven House Children Hospice really has.
